Most places grill with gas or electric heat. At Eddyline we do things differently. Our pecan wood-fired grill burns at over 1,000°F, giving our steaks, seafood, and chops a signature smoky crust and rich depth of flavor. Taste the difference only true open-flame cooking can create.

Poured a mile from where it’s brewed

Eddyline has brewed in Buena Vista since 2009 and put craft beer in 16 oz cans before it was a thing. A dozen of those beers are on tap here, next to a cocktail list built on Deerhammer whiskey, Montanya rum, and Pure Distilling gin.

The building is open and full of light, with the Collegiate Peaks stacked up to the west. Rafters straight off the Arkansas, families, first dates, and locals all fit here.

Leashed dogs are welcome outside. Water bowls are on us.

A real kids menu for 12 and under, with fruit cups and zucchini as sides, not just fries.

Parties of eight or more are welcome. One check with 20% gratuity added keeps it easy.

From the river to the fire

Our story

An eddyline is where fast water meets calm, the spot where paddlers pull out, catch their breath, and plan the next move. That is what this place has been for Buena Vista since 2009. The restaurant at South Main is the newest chapter: the same house-made everything, cooked over a wood fire.

  • 1999A family of brewers opens Socorro Springs Brewing in New Mexico.
  • 2009Eddyline opens in Buena Vista, Colorado at South Main.
  • 2011CrankYanker IPA goes into 16 oz cans. “Beers for any adventure” is born.
  • 2018Brian England and Melissa Ridlon become 50/50 owners.

Can I bring the kids?

Yes. The kids menu is for ages 12 and under, with pasta, quesadillas, cheeseburgers, and Dino Nuggs. See the kids menu.

Are dogs welcome?

Leashed dogs are welcome on the patio. Call us with questions about patio seating.

Are there gluten-free options?

The menu marks items that are gluten free or can be prepared gluten free with a GF symbol. Let your server know about dietary requirements before ordering.
