Eddyline Restaurant · South Main · Buena Vista, Colorado

Wood-fired cooking on the banks of the Arkansas.

Upscale enough for the anniversary. Easy enough for the whole crew, the kids, and the dog on the patio.

Craft

Few restaurants cook like this.

Most places grill with gas or electric heat. Our pecan wood-fired grill burns at over 1,000°F, giving steaks, seafood, and chops a signature smoky crust and rich depth of flavor. Taste the difference only true open-flame cooking can create.

Over live coals

Elk strip, bone-in Duroc pork chop, Angus ribeye, and mahi mahi, all finished over pecan.

Smoked in-house

Baby back ribs, pulled pork, and a pound of wings, smoked here, sauced with Hogback hickory BBQ.

Made from scratch

Every sauce and dressing, daily, free of seed oils. Chimichurri, black-garlic demi-glace, peach salsa, cherry aioli.

Authentic

Named for the river.

An eddyline is the seam where fast water meets calm, the place a paddler pulls out to catch a breath. Eddyline has been that place for Buena Vista since 2009, first as a brewery, now as a wood-fired kitchen on South Main.

What is on the plate comes from close by. Scottish Highland grass-fed beef raised in Nathrop. Deerhammer bourbon distilled a few blocks from your table. Palisade pears in the cider. Pappardelle’s pasta. Eddyline root beer and sparkling mineral water made by us.

The building is open and full of light, with the Collegiate Peaks stacked up to the west. Rafters straight off the river, families, first dates, and locals all fit here. Parties of eight or more are welcome.

Same family as the brewery.

A dozen Eddyline beers are on tap here, brewed a mile up the road at the Brewery & Pub on Linderman Ave. Growlers go home with you.

Rehearsal dinners, race crews, reunions.

Family-style wood-fired menus for groups, a full bar, and a room that can hold the whole party.

Passion

“We started as a family of brewers. Everything here, the beer, the sauces, the root beer, even the ketchup, is made by people who chose this town on purpose.”

Brian England, part of the brand since 2000, and Melissa Ridlon, since 2014, became 50/50 owners in 2018. They are in the building most days.

  • 2009Eddyline opens in Buena Vista at South Main.

Good to know.

Do you take reservations?

We seat walk-ins first come, first served. For parties of eight or more, or a private event, call (719) 966-6000.

Is it kid-friendly?

Very. There is a kids menu for ages 12 and under, and root beer floats made with our own root beer.

Can we bring the dog?

Yes. Leashed dogs are welcome on the patio, and we keep water bowls ready.

Do you have gluten free options?

Every salad can be made gluten free, most wood-fired entrées are naturally gluten free, and we offer GF buns and pasta. Look for the GF mark on the menu.

What is the difference between the Restaurant and the Brewery & Pub?

The Restaurant at 926 South Main is the wood-fired steak, seafood, and BBQ kitchen. The Brewery & Pub at 102 Linderman Ave is the original taproom with wood-fired pizza. Both pour the same Eddyline beer.
